The first Wednesday 9 Hole Sweep got off to a good start when 16 keen golfers teed off and it will obviously turn out to be a great success over the summer months enabling many more golfers to participate in a midweek game.
The inaugural winner, or perhaps he would prefer to be known as ‘history maker’, was Martin Patterson with 22pts. He had 5 shots over the 9 holes with birdies at 4 and 7 giving him a clear victory.
Second place went to Neil O’Neill with 20pts and Andrew Heron came third on 19pts.
