I am very honoured to hold the position of  Ladies’ Captain in Lurgan Golf Club during 2024 and extend a warm welcome to members and visitors alike.  I know you will enjoy our beautiful, well maintained parkland course and equally enjoy the delicious food and beverages in our clubhouse after your game.

 

I was delighted when my predecessor, Gina Lewis, invited me to be her Vice-Captain back in Autumn 2022. I have thoroughly enjoyed my role of supporting Gina throughout the year.

I especially look forward to accompanying and supporting our teams this year and my thanks and appreciation to all who have taken on the role of Team Captains.

 

Congratulations and good wishes to our Club President Damian Murphy, Men’s Captain Brian Matthews, Vice-Captain Henry Jordan and my own Vice-Captain Alison King.

 

This year for our chosen charity Brian and I have chosen Brainwaves NI which is Northern Ireland’s only volunteer led brain tumours research and support charity. They aim to provide support for brain tumour patients, their families and carers, raise awareness of brain tumours and fund vital research at Queen’s University to help find a cure for brain cancer.

We kindly ask for your support throughout the year – we will be running some fundraising events and collection boxes are also available in the Pro Shop and Bar.
