1 Martin Scullion (5) 38pts
2 Gary Cousins (28) 37pts
3 Brian Scullion (4) 36pts
4 Brian Doley (9) 36pts
Gross Gary Clarke 35 gross pts
Father and son Brian and Martin Scullion, both played their way onto the podium with son Martin claiming top spot on 38pts off 5, and Brian coming third with 36pts off 4. This brings Martin’s handicap ever closer to his father’s and we may well be about to see a changing of the guard in that household.
Gary Cousins continued his improving ways by coming second with 37pts, off 28, and Brian Doley yet again finished near the top by coming fourth with 36pts off 9.
Gary ‘Mr Gross’ Clarke added another gross prize to his collection by going round in 71 shots for 35 gross pts. He made up for some early mistakes by running up 4 birdies on his way home.
Shot of the Day came from Mark Headley who watched his 6 iron tee shot at the 2nd take all the right breaks off the slope to find its way to the hole. This meant he had a birdie-eagle start and a strong spring in his heels as he headed to the 3rd tee. Unfortunately the round finished in rather less spectacular fashion with the first NR in his last 82 holes.
