Ladies Results - 14 Hole Team Scramble

On Tuesday 19th March the ladies played the very popular 14 hole team scramble competition and the ladies thoroughly enjoyed getting out on the fairways and found the weather reasonably pleasant, and the course in good condition after the battering it received over the last week.

Thirteen teams of three played and on paper there were some very formidable match ups but the team that gelled best, and came out on top, was Pam Morrow, Anne Knox and Alison King.

The three ladies dove-tailed well and the highlights of their round were three birdies at the 7th, 8th and 13th. These birdies backed up with steady golf resulted in a score of nett 47.4. This is the second time Pam has been in the winner’s circle in two outings so we will be watching closely to see if she can make it a hat-trick next week.

The runners-up spot went to Lynne Hanna, Ita Hanna and Cara Murphy with a nett 48.1. Lynne is on a bit of a winning streak at the minute as she has just returned from playing at the TGI Team Challenge in Turkey where “Team Hanna” also finished runners-up so congratulations to them on that great achievement. Today Lynne played with last week’s gross winner, Cara Murphy, and the consistent Ita Hanna and together they proved a worthy combination.

The nine hole competition prize went to Roisin Anderson with 15pts.

The next prize night is next Tuesday, 26th March, when everyone is guaranteed to get a prize as it’s our “Bring and Win” competition so please come along and take the opportunity to catch up with friends and even try out the new menu in the restaurant.
