Ladies Branch held the first mixed 9 hole scramble of the year on Friday 10th May and eight teams of three took to the fairways to compete for the highly sought after bottles of wine!
The runners up were Lady President Claire White, Brenda Gallery and Morris Lyness with a score of 32.2 net. The winners were the first group out, Lady Vice-Captain Julie Jordan, Jenny Lyness and Seamus Higgins, who posted an early score of 31.7 net which no -one else could better. The next big Friday night mixed event is the men versus women match, the Horseshoe Challenge which will be held on Friday 31st May. The men are the current holders, but the ladies hope to make life difficult for them this year, so keep your eyes on the noticeboard for the sign up sheet and get your name added. This is always a night of good banter and tense competition, don't miss it!
